Obama lifts US embargo on lethal arms sales to Vietnam

President Barack Obama has announced the US is fully lifting its embargo on sales of lethal weapons to Vietnam, its one-time enemy.

Speaking during a visit to communist Vietnam and talks with its leaders, Mr Obama said the move removed a "lingering vestige of the Cold War".

An EgyptAir flight from Paris to Cairo made two sharp turns before plunging into the Mediterranean Sea, Greece's defence minister says.
Panos Kammenos said the Airbus A320 had "turned 90 degrees left and then a 360-degree turn to the right". It then dropped more than 25,000ft (7,620m) before disappearing from radar, he added. Egypt's civil aviation minister has said the possibility of a terror attack is stronger than technical failure. Sixty-six people were on board, most of them from Egypt or France. A Briton was among the passengers.

When pressed about why he re-tweeted "bimbo" jibes about her, he said: "Did I say that? Ooh. Excuse me."
In another interview, he said he was open to meeting North Korea's leader.
The interview with Ms Kelly was largely seen as an attempt to bury the hatchet after months of rancour between the two, with the journalist taking the initiative to set it up.

Barcelona pipped bitter rivals Real Madrid to the La Liga title thanks to a Luis Suarez hat-trick at Granada.
Barca's fifth victory in a row ensured they won the league by one point from Real, who beat Deportivo La Coruna 2-0. Suarez tapped in, powered home a header and slotted Neymar's pass to give him La Liga's golden boot with 40 goals. Barca, nine points clear on 1 April, will seal a second straight league and cup double if they beat Sevilla in the Copa del Rey final on Sunday, 22 May.
